MEMORABILIA

The Who Convention 2006 will see an enviable collection of Who memorabilia on display, together with the screening of rare films of Who footage.

On sale there will be T-shirts, posters, records, CDs and much more. A limited edition 2006 Convention programme will also be available to purchase.

AUCTION AND RAFFLE

The Who Convention 2006 will include an auction of Who items, together with a raffle to win other Who items. We are very grateful to the various individuals and companies who have donated these items. The proceeds of the auction and raffle will be donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Some of the items are pictured below. The organisers reserve the right to add or remove items in the auction or raffle.

ITEMS FOR AUCTION

The auction will take place on the day of Convention. Please bring funds with you to the Convention. Payments may also be made for auction items by credit or debit card. Buyers paying by credit card will have to pay an additional bank charge of 3%. Buyers paying by debit card will have to pay an additional bank charge of £2.

Please bid generously - remember the proceeds will be donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust. It will be the responsibility of winning bidders to remove their items from the venue by 11pm, otherwise they may be liable to pay for storage, shipping, insurance and any other expenses.

If you are unable to attend the Convention in person, you may make bids in advance by emailing ron@whoconvention.com. If your bid by email wins an auctioned item then you will also have to meet shipping costs and insurance.

FOR AUCTION - PREMIER DRUM KIT: Premier Percussion Limited have kindly donated a “Cabria” 5-piece drum kit (pictured below) to the Convention for auction. A member of their team will also be in attendance at the Convention if you want more information about Premier drums.

FOR AUCTION - REPLICA BASS GUITAR :

NS Custom Guitars have kindly offered to donate a brand new hand-made bass guitar which will be a replica of a bass used by John Entwistle.

FOR AUCTION - JOHN ENTWISTLE ART POSTERS:

Walnut Street Gallery have kindly donated several "Guitar Gods" posters featuring drawings by John Entwistle.

The posters feature drawings of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend and Jimmy Page and are otherwise of limited availability.
FOR AUCTION - TWO TICKETS FOR THE WHO IN LIVERPOOL:

Two tickets to see The Who live in Liverpool in July 2006 will be up for auction!

These tickets were kindly donated by CMP.

FOR AUCTION - LYRICS SIGNED BY PETE TOWNSHEND:

Pete Townshend has donated for auction the typed lyrics to "Real Good Looking Boy" (3 pages on A4 paper) (pictured right) with a handwritten note by Pete on the first page stating "For The Who Convention 2006" and the last page being signed and dated by Pete. This item will come with a covering "compliments slip" from Eel Pie signed by Nicola Joss.

FOR AUCTION - DRAFT NOVELLA BY PETE TOWNSHEND:

Pete Townshend has donated for auction a typed draft novella (two pages on A4) with a handwritten note by Pete on the first page stating "As read on IN THE ATTIC March 1st 2006, 'The Comedian' - my latest draft Novella".

VINTAGE CLOTHING:

A variety of vintage Who-related Tshirts and jackets will be put up for auction. A selection is pictured to the right and below.

FOR AUCTION - RARE COMPACT DISCS:

The auction will also feature rare compact discs.

This will include a test pressing of the recent John Entwistle anthology (which has a different tracklisting to the version that was released) and a Japanese pressing of Who's Next (the latter was donated by EIL.COM).

FOR AUCTION - VARIOUS OTHER WHO MEMORABILIA:

Many other pieces of Who memorabilia will be up for auction, including a "Who Are You" picture disc album, "The Who in Sweden" book, and a "Tommy" CD-Rom.

ITEMS FOR RAFFLE

Raffle tickets will be on sale on the day of the Convention and the prize draw will be made towards the end of the day.

FOR RAFFLE - "MAXIMUM WHO" BOOK: A top prize will be a copy of the stunning photograph book "Maximum Who" (pictured right) kindly donated by book publisher Genesis Publications.

FOR RAFFLE - "SINGLES" CD BOX and BIOGRAPHY:

Other raffle prizes will include a CD box set (donated by EIL.COM) and Mark Wilkerson's new book about Pete Townshend (donated by the author).
